In this cooking masterclass, you will delve into the wonderful world of traditional Indian homebreads, using minimal ingredients like flour, water, and seasonings to whip up some delectable creations. Tailored for beginners and busy home cooks, the focus is on simple yet flavoursome techniques that promise to delight your palate.
During the session, you'll have the opportunity to create three varieties of flatbreads and gain insights into pairing them with the correct dish.
On the menu:
Roti – Craft the classic soft and fluffy roti
Paratha – Prepare crispy, multi-layered parathas to add a touch of finesse to your meals
Stuffed Paratha – Experience the burst of flavours in these spiced fillings, perfect for any dining occasion
We will also learn to prepare fusion modern complementary accompaniments, including flavourful chutneys and sides, designed to enhance the taste and versatility of freshly made flatbreads.
The class kicks off with a detailed demonstration on kneading the dough, followed by a step-by-step guide on rolling, shaping, and cooking the flatbreads. You'll then get hands-on experience in rolling, shaping, and cooking the breads yourself. By the end of the session, you will have acquired the essential skills to make perfect, authentic Indian flatbreads effortlessly (and whenever the craving strikes!).
Please note: This class is not gluten-free or dairy-free.
